The last Social Security payment arrived for those who received benefits before 1997. Therefore, it was not for all retirees on retirement benefits. Bear in mind that you can only cash money from the Administration unless you file.
Therefore, if you filed after May 1997 or during that same month, you may cash your money this week. If not, there are two more possibilities to get your monthly Social Security payment.
In fact, there are three different paydays and you will qualify or not depending on your birthday. Social Security has divided the paydays depending on whether your birthday is during the first ten days of the month, the ten days in the middle, or the last ones.
When will the next Social Security payment arrive?
As a matter of fact, the Administration has confirmed that November 8 will be the next payday. In order to be eligible, you must have your birthday between the first and the tenth of any month.

So, if your birth date is from the 1-10, you will be able to cash up to $4,555. Retirees will receive a direct deposit on that same day unless they get their money on a debit card.
Do not worry if your birthday does not match the requirements for the payment on November 8. There are still two more chances to collect a new Social Security check.
The next two paydays will be on November 15 and November 22. So, as you may have guessed, to cash up to $4,555 on November 15, your birthday must fall between the 11th and the 20th. The average check for the last three retirement checks in November is approximately $1,841 as of September 2023.
Who will receive a Social Security payment on November 22?
If your birthday is not from the 1st to the 20th of the month, you may receive your payment on November 22. Of course, you cannot have received payments from Social Security before May 1997.
Thus, if your birthday is from the 21st to the 31, you will receive your next Social Security check on that date. Sometimes there can be delays and you may not receive your payment on time.
It is possible that there are delays of up to three mailing days. If you have already waited for three days, and your payment in November has not arrived, contact your bank first, and not SSA.
They may not what is going on and they may inform you about possible problems they may have had. If they have not received your money, contact Social Security after three mailing days. If you believe that you live on a low income, applying for Supplemental Security Income or SNAP benefits may be an option.
